Want to help spread joy? Great!
Here are the steps to take to see if your local Children’s Hospital is open to receiveing free JoyJars stuffed with joy, hope and love!
We ship Children’s Hospitals what we call JoyPacks. JoyPacks hold 20 JoyJars. We send 10 for girls and 10 for boys.
- You make contact with the pediatric oncology department at the hospital. If you don’t know anyone talk to your friends/family. Some CH’s have a Child Life Specialty team which we work a lot with.
- You share Jessie’s story and JoyJars. If you email them, a good idea is to include the two CBS video clips (just type into google CBS2 Jessie Rees) in your request.
- Once we get written permission to send JoyJars to the hospital we send them to you to deliver to the contact person or straight to the hospital. The JoyJars come stuffed and ready to handout. Once we seal them they can only be opened by parents/kids.
- If you get to take them, you deliver and provide notice that they have been sent. (Take a picture and post).
- You follow up with the CH to see when they would like more=)
JoyJars are 64oz plastic jars with age appropriate items. We have boys and girls ages 1-4, 5-8, 9-13. To ensure the greatest level of joy…the JoyJars don’t include food, small objects, sharp objects or lotions.
That’s it. If you want to help us…great!
